Well I just got back from Black Bike Week

Had so much fun, didn't wanna get thrown back into the real life

Richie's doing great, well compared to how he was doing a few weeks ago he's great

He graduated from Basic Training for the Air Force last Thursday

I'm so proud of him

I've grown closer with his girlfriend, she's cool as hell and she's so in love with him

That's great to see that he found himself a good one

She's finally 21 folks.
I know it's been forever since I've posted but work and school has been kicking my yellow ass. Be patient with me, as I will indeed fill you in on the many details of my life since the last time I posted.

Wanna summary?

Okay well as far as work goes, Park Police is fuckin up. I can't wait to chuck the deuce and roll out on these niggas. I have four months to find a job because folks up in this joint ain't got shit else better to do with their lives but to be concerned with the student program so come September, the program is officially terminated. Whomp. Let's hope I won't be here long enough to see that day, Amen?

I love working at the ballpark. The people are cool, my team is cool, and the work is cool.

I have been applying my ass off for hotel positions. All I ask is that you pray for me, man. I have to get into my field ASAP or all this damn college is for NOTHING! Got me a few interviews lined up, so yeah. Talk to the Lord above for lil ole me, thx =D.

Uhhh what else...oh...social life. Ha.

Welp...if you know me, you know I keep my options open. For some reason, I can see this round blowing up in my face lol. Don't know why, I just have that gut feeling yanno. So the routine is grab a few prospects, then narrow it down and pick one to keep. Yeahhhh so this time, iono how this is gonna work out cause they all know eachother lol. But anyways, been spending most of my time with one guy. He treats me good but I don't know if it's gonna go far, prolly not. Then there's another guy. He swears he's gonna take me away from the first guy lol. Imma leave that one alone. There are a few others, but those two are the most relevant.

Other than that, I haven't been out with my ladies in forever! We're going to Myrtle Beach for Black Bike Week so I'm really looking forward to that. Josh and I have gotten closer so that's good. Joseph on the other hand is fuckin up. Someone needs to tell him to come home or our friendship will be revoked! And you know what, my Monkeybutt didn't even call me to tell me happy birthday. Imma beat that ass. Lol that's all though, as far as friends go.

Family life is good right now. My granddad passed away two weeks ago but I'm just glad he's not suffering anymore. I hated seeing him in the hospital, so to know he's in Heaven now makes me happy. It was tension in the air at first whenever there was a family gathering but now it seems to have calmed down. Alot of birthdays since my last post, check them out after the jump.

Richie is graduating on the 23rd! I may go down there, but my only concern is not making it back on time to leave for bike week. Plus the flight is a bitch. Iono, we'll see what happens. His girlfriend Tiffany is the coolest ever, he got himself a good one and she better hold on to him cause he's a great man.

For those of you that do, I wanna thank you for taking the time to read my rants. I don't post as often as I should, then again I don't sleep as often as I should either. I don't be talkin bout shit anyway lol. Usually I have something intelligent to add to my posts but this was just to catch you guys up with my life thus far.

Now that I think of it, I have been doing some reading of my own. I've been reading Bible stories and just staying in the know with the Bible in general. You know how some things you know, but you don't remember learning it? Well yeah, I read that Noah's Ark landed on Mount Ararat. It's not like I live near there or anything, I just found it interesting to read up on. I've also been quite fond of Black History the last few weeks. Don't think I'm going all "Black Power" on anyone, but it's nice to engage in conversations that come about when you yourself are familiar with the topic. I read about Fred Hampton and how he was killed and shit just bothered the fuck outta me but if anything, I'm just glad it's not like that anymore. I also read up on Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz. I had no idea Betty Shabazz was killed by her own grandson. This just is not a good world to live in man smh. I learned alot, where in the past I used to hate it. I've never liked being forced to do anything so that's probably why stuff they taught us ages ago, I'm just now learning.

These two gorgeous ladies right here were the extra push I needed to make this promo post. I've been putting it off forever. Dela*Nique is a new up and coming young female duo with a sound that I love. They are different and catchy and they contribute quite well to the R&B community. I recommend that you all check out the sound these girls have to offer.

Underrated Canadian hottie Drake, also known as Aubrey Graham to all Degrassi fans, has already established himself as an actor and is now on his grind to become next best rapper. He released a mixtape entitled Comeback Season in 2007, I suggest you give this man a listen and stop sleepin on the guy.

EGF (Every Gyrlz Fantasy) is a group of two guys I became aware of through my homeboy Young Holla. I went to Holla's website and automatically was drawn to all the EGF tracks on his playlist. I myself have yet to add these guys to my friends list on myspace, but I will definitely be sure to do so. Until I get that chance, I recommend you go to the Holla Fashions website yourself and navigate though the playlist. I will be sure to keep up with these guys, as they are now on my "Most Likely to Succeed" list of artists. Keep it up EGF.

Yes sir, yes sir. Wale has been signed to Interscope Records! Certainly holdin it down for the DMV, Wale is one of the best rappers out there. He is very well known in the Metropolitan Area after brilliantly blending hip hop with GoGo, starting a trend and setting a tone for any prospective artists coming from my hometown. He performed at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2007, he toured with Amy Winehouse last year in London, he has been featured as one of the 51 Best Myspace Rappers in the November issue of VIBE, and has collaborated with the likes of Lily Allen, Black Eyed Peas, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and others. Never have I been a watcher of Dancing With the Stars, but when I found out Baltimore native (and hottie) Mario would be part of the cast, I had to see what moves this brother had. Let us applaud this guy for leading the males with a score of 24 out of 30! Okay so wow...dude managed to shimmy his way to the top without looking gay. Ahh, if only you weren't from Baltimore. Anywho...be sure to check out this cutie on Dancing With the Stars, Mondays at 8pm on ABC. And if you feel the need, the females perform at the same time and place on Tuesdays.

Because There's Always Something...

What up people? Hope everyone is well and happy. I'm so not ready for my final exam tonight. In fact, I should probably be studying right now...but you know me...I gotta cram to pass a test. I'm a little worried though, to be honest. All that work I did to try to boost my grade in this class, I feel as though this final just might blow it for me, but we'll see. If I don't mention it in the future, then that means I did bad lol.

Anyhoo, my vibe these days have been reallyyy.....I guess nonchalant would be the best way to descibe it. It sucks actually lol. I don't like not being motivated by anything or not having the mental energy to do anything new. It almost seems like I've been forcing myself to do different things. You don't understand...it's work, school, work, school, work. Then I gotta do it all over again the next week. Gahhh, it's frustrating lol. I need a new adventure. Maybe things will lighten up after this week (semester is over) and around April when I start the new job. We shall seeeeeee.

I feel as though I'm doing a complete reverse on people, communication-wise. Folks I talk to often I haven't been calling, yet the people I haven't spoken to in months, I'm reaching out to. I don't know what it is, but I get in the mode sometimes where I won't call anybody at all and I'll only talk to those who decide to call me. If you think about it, it's a complete waste of time to continue to call people that never call you. Screw you buddy. But I'll come out of this mode eventually....I usually do.

I'm having an issue with these dudes for some reason. I'm gonna try to find some way to break this down:

Hal is an old friend. He seems to have made up in his mind that I am supposed to say "yes" to him for anything he asks. He also assumes that I need to make time for him somewhere in my busy ass schedule. Hal is crazy. Typical man-thing: when I actually wanted you, you were nowhere to be found. I now have moved on.

Zeek is staaaalking me. I'm deadass serious too. Sometimes I'm scared to leave out of my house cause I think he's there. That's a long story not even worth getting into. Sooo just know if I disappear, it wasn't based on my naivety; it's based on his obsession or delusional-ness...or...whatever.

A Late Update

I done had two drafts since my last post, I just never got a chance to post them...which brings me to one of the main topics I wanted to speak on: School. DeVry is kicking my ass indeed. Driving me crazy, stressing me out. All of the above! I have never felt like I wanted to give up and drop out of school until I got to this school. Shit's just rediculous. The following was saved to my drafts, and applies my thoughts towards DeVry.

Time to vent. I was explaining to Josh yesterday that I
feel as though I should be way more ahead in life than I am. People congratulate
me all the time for my so-called accomplishments but I still don't see what they
see. I have been working at the same damn snitch spot for almost six years and I
am still making what I was making when I started out. I thought that graduating
from Everest was a good thing and the start of a new chapter in life, but all it
did was get me into DeVry for $50 off.. I am back to square one at DeVry but it's worse. There is no motivation, it's harder, I
get out too late...I can't think of anything positive I'm getting out of this
experience. Whatever. This shit is depressing.

I went to a mass interview session for the National Harbor last Friday. I didn't get the job because I have no experience. How am I supposed to get experience if they always tell you you need experience? In the memory of Alpha 5's most overused phrase....ai-yai-yai!

Onto things that matter in life.....

Granddad is back home and he's doing well from what I can tell. I can tell Grandma is happy about that. While he was in the hospital, she was always in her room with the door locked probably because she didn't feel secure without him in there. I'm so glad he's back though. It's a more comfortable feeling in the air now.

Tayla is doing fine and getting on my nerves lol. She hasn't has a seizure since she's been home so that's definitely a good thing. My baby is 5 years old today!!! Time sure does fly. I saw Jhasmyn a few weeks back, that's another one of my babies. Aaron was at the house yesterday too cause Trae stayed the night. Family life is cool to sum it all up. Well, everything except my piece of crap car.

I kicked it with Josh yesterday but it was brief as hell. I'm about to head up to his job in about an hour or so. Things are going okay with us...for now lol.

Chico stopped by a few weeks back and he's doing well. I love that we get along as well as we do.

My main folks these days seem to be Joe, Nina, and Brina. Brina had a party the other day, it was cool. Way more folks there than I expected. Yoooo, okay for those of you who don't know, I LOVE Mya! I met her twice. The first time, I met her through Brina's aunt. The second time was a volunteer program for her Arts & Tech foundation for kids. Turns out Mya told Brina's aunt that she met me again! Yo, that definitely made my day lol. I wanna go to Cali to kick it with Nina, cause she is funny as hell. She's one of those people that chill on the bench and jone on everyone that walks by lmao. So I wanna wait for Brina to save up her cash so we can go together, Joe is prolly my main homeboy these days. I've decided that I'm gonna keep on harassing him until he comes back to Maryland because he hates the question "When you comin home?" lol.

Ohhhhh I so forgot to tell you guys that I went to Jersey to see my boos! I had so much fun that weekend, it ended too soon so I will definitely be going back asap. One of the days I was there, we went to Philly so here are the pics. Enjoy and have a good eveningggg!

What it do people? I know it's only like 2 people reading this so I can talk like a fool, right? lol
Anyways I'm at work right now, doing nothing as always. Sippin on Dasani, texting Angel and Tamma.

So my brother called me again this morning. He really does miss his family and it's starting to show. That's good though, that means he has feelings. Treyvon went to go see him so hopefully now he's relieved that his father is alive and well. I don't know how things are supposed to go with the rest of the kids.

It turns out Dr. J is sponsoring our family reunion in Las Vegas this year! It's gonna be inexpensive PLUS I will be 21 baby. I'm allllll over it. I've talked about it with both of my sisters but there ain't no guarantee we'll all share a room together. I just hope their ain't no fights lol.

School is wacker than ever! It's making me mad to the point where I feel the need to take a break. Yanno what, let's change the subject, it's that serious lol.

Work.....bleh. This job sucks and it's prolly the only thing keeping me from feeling like I am headed in the right direction. I've been here going on six years and I just feel stuck. This is why I don't want to work in the Government; it's a trap. So luckily the National Harbor they are building in Oxon Hill is having their open house interview type thing. So i'm scheduled to go on the 1st of February and looking forward to it. Click here for info if you live in the Area and are interested.

I need to get out more. Life should be full of fun and excitement and I don't see that too often. I got over the club scene by the time i was 19 because we went too much lol. So that's that, now onto the randoms of my life...

I don't even know where to start really. Let's start with how I spent my New Years. I went to London, my first time going overseas. I stayed with two of my homegirls Lerease and Rishelle and they showed me a fun time. I love the fact that London is diverse, it's definitely someplace I would think about raising my kids. My car's heatbeat stopped beating a few days ago. I was leaving school and my foot was on the gas and my car just stopped moving...so I'm stuck in the middle of the street and shit lol literally. But that was just the start of my car troubles this week. My sister gave me her truck to drive and that broke down this morning so I guess I'm gonna do the Metro thing until I figure something else out.

I SPOKE TO MY BROTHER YESTERDAY! For those of you who don't know, my brother has been M.I.A. for almost 4 years now. He was in a very bad car accident last month. He broke both of his legs, fractured his hip, sprained his wrist and his ankle, and he also needed a blood transfusion. So yeah, let us count this blessing feel me. But yeah I was happy to talk to him. I miss him alot.

New semester started this week. I can tell right now, these classes are gonna suck but I'm gonna just try to stay focused.

There's so many things to speak on, mainly this Josh madness. Some of you know who he is. In a nutshell...he's some crazy guy that I have feelings for but don't want to. Loooong story lol. I shall elaborate another day.
